<Do you still like IOM? You have it in your profile.

They actually look fairly valued or a little undervalued. Probably got socked with the sector. Could be a baby-bathwater situation here. The recent click-of-death publicity probably didn't help much either. <g>

Zip is it. This goddam thing is on track to wipe out the 1.44 floppy, in spite of IOM's strategic blunders. How do you like that?>

Wait and see whether they accept Lawrence Kams application as CEO.

Speaking of CEO's, Bill Gates is going to get a lot of free publicity out of this anti-trust thing. Now, he's got all these other CEO's making press releases that the whole tech pie will crumble if they don't get this software out.

For an OS that is generally panned as a non event, why should everyone, besides Bill, care? You know, Win 98 will get so much free publicity and people wondering why these other guys are putting up so much concern. This is better than geting the Stones.

On the other hand, there may be some investors who believe the sky will fall if MSFT is told no. Hmmm.... Hope they aren't building us up for a fall. It's a bit of a chicken game.

Regards,

Mark

PX, I still have IOM, but it is only a small percentage of my
portfolio. My hopes are on Click! I wouldn't buy it now.

Sure seems like we've missed the point this year talking about SEG, WDC and QNTM when e should have been talking about EMC and STK. Sure looks like these guys are going to see great demand going forward as they benefit from price wars and falling prices.

I was very clever last year. I made $2000 day trading EMC, but held WDC. Well, I don't need to explain that strategy. :(

Are their any winners still waiting to be found, and do the old winners still have a lot of steam?

From briefing.com today:

EMC Corp. (EMC) 44 11/16 -7/16: Goldman Sachs initiates coverage of designer and manufacturer of storage-related hardware, software and service products with a "recommended list" rating.....

Data General (DGN) 15 1/16: Prudential upgrades computer firm from "hold" to "buy"...

EMC Corp (EMC) 45 1/8: Goldman Sachs initiates coverage on the "recommend list"...

Mark
