To All, Mercedes is going to buy out Chrysler. This is like Tiffany's buying out The Home Shopping Network's Cubic Zirconium operation. <G>

But this deal could work. Chrysler puts out some nicely styled vehicles that don't happen to be reliable modes of transportation. Mercedes puts out the most reliable vehicle this side of Japan, but their styling is ugly as a warthog. So, wouldn't it be great if we get some great looking cars that work well.

Of course, that assumes these two cos. know what they do well and what they do poorly. They may not, and we could end up with junks that look horrible. But let's hope for the better result.
