SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 5, 1998--Howard Foote, president,
Platforms International Corp. (OTC BB:PLFM), announced
that on Friday, May 1, 1998, Platforms established validation of concept
for its proprietary Airborne Relay Communications (ARC)
System.

The demonstration was conducted at ADC Telecommunication (NASDAQ:ADCT)
San Diego facilities. Foote, stated ADC has become
the project manager, consultant and a strategic partner in the business
development of Platforms' ARC System. ADC provided state of
the art GSM based architecture, hardware, spectrum, and the use of its
facilities for the flight demonstration.

ADC will be developing a three-phase business plan and global strategy
plan to market Platforms' ARC System over the next several
weeks.

Representatives from Telesp, Cramtel, and the Brazilian Congress
observed the Airborne Communications Demonstration, along with all
technical support contractors.

The demonstration consisted of the ARC system laying down cells from the
air to the ground to provide connection of cell-to-cell,
cell-to-PSTN, PSTN-to-cell phone calls. In one of the calls the
connection was purposely interrupted to show that the calls were indeed
being transmitted and received through the aircraft. All tests were
flawlessly completed and exceeded our expectations.

The communications demonstration can be considered an overwhelming
success and put PLFM on the cutting edge of technology.

Foote stated that "with a validated system, now this is when the
business begins." On May 27, Foote intends to reveal his plans for
strategic business acquisitions, sale of licenses, exploring sale for
military application, contract status, additional business interest, and
investment banking relationships.

The company has been exploring all of these options and is now in a
position to start closing deals. With the validation of the system we
now have a unique product to sell. Platforms' has clearly demonstrated
itself to be the leader in providing airborne wireless
communications.
