I hope you saw this movie. It was a big cult classic in the
'70's. The inhabitants of an insane asylum escape, lock the
towns people up and have a party. If I remember right, most
people identified with the nuts: better values and ethics<<<

I did see it. And I agree about it. However, if the inmates had gone around proclaiming everyone they disagreed with to be socialists, I imagine the movie would have been a great deal less popular. After all, most of the people who saw and liked it in the 70's were on the left. It was by and for them. The art-movie crowd, you know.

Anyway, madmen with agendas are supposed to write, not have picnics on the asylum lawn!
