My point is: the Internet is a revolutionary new way of communicating. Catching on exponentially faster than radio, telephone or TV! I'm seeing it happen every day, much faster than I expected (and I live in Silicon Valley!) Most business WILL be done on the Web. Through Web sites and e-commerce. DIS is an internet stock. So is Barnes and Noble and K-Tel and CNN and tons of other companies that aren't just only net sites. IMO, every stock will become an Internet stock. And if you don't agree with that term, then every stock won't be an Internet stock, but will have significant WWW sites with significant e-commerce through the sites. What's your point? That you can't have a physical location to be a net stock? What do you mean by: > if you place ads in a magazine are you an advertising stock???? < No, but if you start a new magazine for your company, you might become one. Your analogy doesn't make much sense to me. Are you comparing the Internet to a magazine?? I'm not talking about placing ads on the net.. Let's not squabble over words. The point is Buffett buys and holds. Point is he only buys companies he understands. Good, solid advice. I follow it - I suggest you do the same. Are you sure you don't want to buy another Internet company????
