According to Fry's Electronics (a well regarded computer store in the Silicon Valley) the Zip is much more requested than the SparQ.

>>Helping each of us make more $$$ in iomega.<<

I think your proposal should read, "Helping each of us make more $$$ in The Market."

The way you worded your proposal, it sounds like you have already made up your mind about Iomega, and ignore the ugly realities associated with this stock. Therefore, no one need bother with "helping" you make money in this stock. You are evidently already in it.

However, I will try to help you anyway. Here goes. Ahem...

I am hoping that Iomega can succesfully turn up the marketing juice prior to the release of Vapor! This should bump up the stock price, and make it a very attractive short candidate. Hopefully, this means a price of $11 or so. I will then short the world.

However, several things that can cause this stock to not behave as I would like. One is Castlewood, and the release of their Orb could quash any IOM momentum. Same with Sony and any news of their HiFi. And a Zip Plus Recall (which is sorely needed) could have a detrimental effect on the stock.

*Interesting thing about Zip Plus, it seems as though Iomega is offering a trade in- give them your $199 Zip Plus, and they will give you a SCSI Zip ($99) (probably Refurbished) and ($60) 6 Zip discs = $160.

In other words, you give Iomega $199, and they give you $160.

WTG, Iomega. Now that's Customer Service.
