How about K-TEL as a value play?

Doggone, I've gone through the same thing! (My son will never forgive me for not buying K-Tel.)

I think that we "value investors" have got a real problem (or is it an advantage?): we are all basically Puritans. At least, I am.

We can't just set ourselves the goal of making money-- that's too crass. No, it has to be a great cosmic battle between Good and Evil -- between Virtuous Stocks and Wicked Stocks.

TDW, for example, is a Virtuous Stock. Its reward will no doubt be in heaven. KTEL is a Wicked Stock. Its getting its reward in the here-and-now (but it will go to hell after we are all dead!).

Nevertheless, I am gritting my teeth and hanging on, in the mad belief that the millenium will come in my lifetime and TDW will eventually triumph on this earth and KTEL will perish (along with all those poor fools who bought it -- Ha! Ha!).

Of course, none of this millenialism is helping my bank account...
