Caution...Maybe off topic alittle and some rambling!

Richard,
My take on the present cable situation.
@home and Roadrunner competitors to some extent, have the fastest
fiber cable residential fiber modems I've seen.
@home services my area and I can tell you the internet fiber modem
runs at something like 100 times 28,880 and now I have digital tv.
I am a ...right now type A person (as if you had not noticed) :-)
and fiber modem flys. The various sites can't download fast enough
for the modem. @home is developing @work systems and has moved into europe etc and I assume roadrunner (east coast) is
also.
The point here cable has the speed advantage...right now and Intel
bought some of roadrunner yesterday and also owns some of @home (They are into everything it seems)Microsoft is invested
in tele-communications which owns a large position of @home.
Confused yet?
The problem as IMHO is can cable get the fiber out fast enough
before copper develops (just for the sake of this) 10 times faster than the present speeds that might satisfy the masses. Will this
become another Beta vs VHS?

How does MRVC benefit from all this?
If I understand MRVC's Intellectual technological assets and fiber and networking abilities and xyplex technology they should
be in the game no matter how this turns out. Can anyone help here?
With Intel, Microsoft involved in most every area of computing, networking, etc, etc and they have stated and put their money
where their mouths are they are very interested
in doing what they can to see that fiber cable is the future, IMHO MRVC (Niche players) in all this should be able to carve out
all the market share of this industry it could handle.
What continues to bother me is the consistent lack of MRVC being mentioned along with all the so called leaders in this
industry and
everyone knows IMO the only reason is THE WORLD doesn't know who the Hell MRVC is.
This could be improved by management and here is where this company is weak.
Nothing new here except I listened to the Intel/Fore Press conference and I didn't like to hear Intel say something to the effect
that Intel
would like to be no.2 in this networking business and Fore No.3
Laughter about this followed.
I knew that MRVC didn't have much chance to be the Partner of the Day with Intel but why FORE. ATM Technology?

Frustrated John
Luck to all

VERY GOOD POST RON,
Thanks
