David: I'm working on this boneheaded theory that EVA dictates stock market valuations more than P/E or anything else. Semi-equips are also cyclical and so that (as you know) adds another fly in the ointment. If I recall KO and MSFT are some of the top EVA companies around - old ratings had KO as 1 and MSFT as 5.
