Apparently, the FED is considering increasing margin requirements, something it has not done in about 20 years.

Many managers who actively short stocks have lamented about the difficulty they have in getting the stocks they need to short. An increase in margin requirements may exacerbate this situation.

Fred,

I am not sure I'm converted yet. I tend to lean toward shorting SPY on the S&P and the Juno fund for shorting bonds. I don't have a commodity account and I haven't really looked into shorting individual bonds, so buying the Juno fund is just easier for me.
