Hamilton, Bermuda, May 5 (Bloomberg) -- Insurance companies
in Bermuda have refused to pay claims by customers purchasing
Pfizer Inc.'s Viagra, the new drug aimed at curing male
impotence, reported the Royal Gazette newspaper. ''We are
carrying out our own research and investigation now,'' said Judy
Panchand-White, president of Bermuda's Health Insurance
Association. The Viagra pill costs $10 in Bermuda.

Viagra, introduced last month, has met unprecedented demand
in the United States, having had 207,868 prescriptions filled in
the week ended April 24, according to consulting group, IMS
Health.
