Pfizer's Viagra Gets Thumbs Down From Bermuda Insurers Bloomberg News May 5, 1998, 11:48 a.m. PT Hamilton, Bermuda, May 5 (Bloomberg) -- Insurance companies in Bermuda have refused to pay claims by customers purchasing Pfizer Inc.'s Viagra, the new drug aimed at curing male impotence, reported the Royal Gazette newspaper. ''We are carrying out our own research and investigation now,'' said Judy Panchand-White, president of Bermuda's Health Insurance Association. The Viagra pill costs $10 in Bermuda.
