TATRADER, "WAST(preparing itself)"....did you ever get a response from your question to Doug? "My question is this: How do you determine in advance the break from a pattern". I know of none, other than maybe the standard mo indicators. Seems like volume confirmation is the next best thing but...this, of course, after it happened. Since pattern recognition is so subjective to me, the probabilities or likelihood of breakout in the expected direction tend to come if the pattern is developing the classic characteristics. ie..volume drying up etc. If you find or HAVE a way of determining this , PLEASE post, as I am always searching. bdog
