Dennis, you might be right about the flat screens doing better than I thought. But at $2000 it is still a luxury item, especially with the way that 17" monitors have been coming down. You're correct that Apple's price was the lowest when announced, but by this point I'm not sure it is. I remember a News.Com article about another firm that struck some kind of deal with the Korean manufacturer and a roughly equivalent model was down to $1500 or something like that.

Got my copy of MacAddict in the mail today. The first cover in its history to feature hardware--the PowerBook of course. In fact, the writers rave over the PBs, flat panel, AIO, and 300 mhz G3.

Can't believe I've only been away for six hours and there are now 110 more posts.
