Brian, Celeron is exactly the same .25u processor as PII-350 or PII-450. PII has been crippled by the lacking of L3 cache which is required in Alpha Technology to increase the memory bandwidth. Celeron is the chip got double crippled on both L2 and L3 cache by Intel. With or without L2/L3 cache, P6 has inferior core to run today's Win95 and the related applications. What it really means on Celeron is that Intel dancing sciences are incompetent to modify their stolen technology to meet the increasing performance challenge from either AMD or Cyrix. That's result of free illegal copying!

Brian, One step for Paul at a time. He resuses to liberate himself from the Intelamentality. He is squarly at odd's with Lindsey Greenwnap's position on Celeron266 and yet wants to be considered an equal. He is facing a hugh delema and his Intelaego has him boxed. At this point he is willing to drop a notch below Lindsey and remain there becasue at this point he has lost all hope of regaining his objectivity. He has lost it his EGO and to one of the seven deadly sins greed. As Keven pointed out he has recently gone quarky. No doubt a direct result of the moral delema his mind is having within itself. He knows better but can't bring himself around to admiting what other now more knowledgeable experterts are stated. I dare to say he will need his greed for an expesive round of professional counseling to heal him but as you can see he is not ready.
