Thank you, DScottD, for reinforcing some of my own beliefs about peeing styles. After doing quite a bit of research, and interviewing one person at length, I have come to the conclusion that there are many variables involved, and that practicality weighs heavily into the equation.

I do continue to note that there is something men PERCEIVE to be more masculine about standing up, like it is sort of a secret that some of them sit down. I can think of no other explanation for sitters standing up when other men are present.

I do believe that all the men who have volunteered this personal information (and thank you all very much for your bravery) are heterosexual (or at least have wives and children). Are there any homosexual men who would like to participate in our study? I am curious to know if there are any sexual identity-based differences.
