Thank you, Deer Hunter. On technical analysis or trading advice, I post them on "Analysis class for beginners" and "A simple list of trading do's and don'ts".

In one day charts, one minute interval is normal. Many trades sometimes occur in one minute. Fundamental way of looking at the chart is knowing how brokerages work. You seldom get direct trading with the market makers; even with level II and III and Island limit book. Brokerages often take the trade in house. Please check Island limit book to see if your level II order is listed there? Most market makers do not check island book to do business.

Even though price jumps around, customer buys at high price and sells at low price. Grouped trades under 5000 shares are generated by internet brokerages; only some are market makers. So reporting is done by brokerages. Price change suddenly is due to different brokerages reporting; and has no relationship to the bid and ask from your broker at that time frame.

Liquidity is more than what volume (Nasdaq volume is folded in five times, one million shares is only two hundred thousand) provides; it is also how price holds.

When you get experienced in one day analysis; You will be able to see if there is any momentum left. And you can count volume traded bid or ask; to see the short interest each day. Overbought and oversold and evenly traded conditions can be seen as well.
