Further to your comment re shorters ... apparently someone also called the company's IR firm (the one in Sanford, Fla.) and offered to provide so-called "bridge financing" in return for discounted stock. This sounds like a *very* thinly-veiled, half-ass attempt at buying stock cheap enough to cover the short positions. Anyone who has studied this company carefully realizes that it is in *no* need of bridge financing -- at least not at this stage of its development.

I suspect that many of the shorts acquired their short position back in the days when the company was selling its own stock on the open market (through its "investment offices") ... originally in Denver, I believe, and then in LA or Orange County. Once they put a definite stop to that practice in January, these shorts lost their reliable source of additional shares.

Look at quote.yahoo.com and note when the stock was last at 60 cents. Sounds plausible to me.
