That is a real possibility. Such a decision could cause more than a 1000 point drop in present circumstances.

Win98 delay ..... WHO CARES? It's not noticibly better than Win95, takes twice as much space, and there is little to no software currently available that takes advantage of its "improvements".

Yeah, Microsoft takes a hit for a quarter... oh, its the end of the world!!! Get real!

michael,
Now we are back to my basic concern. Has anyone seen where the DOJ plans to delay Win 98? I haven't seen or heard anything. Is this Bill Gates being proactive? He has a lot to learn about politics. This is leading with your chin. Billy Clinton would love to create some events to take the spot light off him self. This is not a good move. The DOJ could have a field day with him. Congress would have to bring the issue back for it's share of the spot light. Bill Gates would have to perform faultlessly. One stumble would be magnified by the media into public failure. The right or wrong of the issue will be forgotten in the process. It will become a rich vs Poor issue. Think about it!
