I have the island. It lies just off the North end of Longboat Key Florida. Literally... Paradise. It is an island. A minute or so by boat, or a five minute swim for those that want the exercise. It has it's own fresh water wells and a sub-station from Florida Power. You'll need a dish and cell phone as there are no cable or telco lines. (DGIV to the rescue.) You can see the Gulf of Mexico from a few of the 9 remaining lots for sale. Only 13 on the "key," and 4 homes already built. The one acre building lots range in price from 275 to 350 and a great home could be built over there for another 250/350. Anyone wishing to spend a small portion of your millions give me a heads-up and I'll be glad to set the wheels in motion. The colors of the water are the most beautiful shades of turquoise. Sarasota Bay, in which this key rests, is a giant estuary. You can catch more than 20 species of fish in a single afternoon. The dolphins come by most afternoons and will almost play with you if you wish to swim with them. I look at this "fantasy island" every day from my little fishing shack built many years ago by John Ringling for his guests that enjoyed the sport. Sarasota has five theaters, two opera houses, one of which was disassembled in Asolo Italy and reconstructed here, two dinner theaters, a ballet, and it's own symphony orchestra. Many 4 star restaurants and one of the most delightful and civil populations you'll ever experience. The beaches are awesome and the water temperature will run into the high 80's for more than 6 months of the year. There are more than 50 great golf courses within a 15 minute drive of Longboat Key. Forty six holes on Longbot itself and a world class resort to go along with it. The Colony Beach and Tennis Club was recently judged the BEST tennis resort ine the WORLD by all the independant travel agents. Just down the block. Better than LaQuinta and that's saying a lot. The average age 10 years ago was about 67 and has dropped to about 42 and is continuing down as I write this. Let me know when you add up all that dough, Rich ps. I got another 1100 today
