To thank everyone on this thread for their thorough analysis (and the money I made on APCO!), I'd like to offer Unapix (AMEX:UPX) as a possible pick.

They are an independent producer of low-budget movies and direct to video movies. They do the "Great Minds" series.

Last quarter (12/97), they made .08. They are at a little over $5.

When I first suggested this stock on the "UNDERVALUED STOCKS (improved)" thread last week, they were priced at a little over $4.

Since then, they just announced that they too are now an internet stock! :-) Actually they are expanding an existing web presence selling their videos over the internet:
biz.yahoo.com

I don't believe this will add much to their earnings, which is what I focus on. But it might help their visibility, and hence, their stock price.

The CEO has been very upbeat in their press releases re-confirming their revenue targets of $40 million and talking about margins increasing.

The one negative is that they just filed an S-3 so that the buyers of their convertible bonds could sell their shares. This means that the float will increase.

I spoke to the CFO last week, and he said they would report this quarter (3/98) approximately this Thursday.

I'm long UPX.

Do your own due diligence.
