I thought Gates' speech was so much self-serving b.s. His analogy to GM being prevented from building next year's model was crap. The only way to compare it with the car industry would be to suppose that GM planned to build Chevies that used a special gasoline that sold for 50 cents a gallon and that would displace other gasolines at the pump, so Ford owners would not be able to buy gas. Obviously illegal.

I'm a cynic too. But Bill Gates is the biggest cynic of all.
