Katherine, don't you think it is possible that Ktel could generate $95 million from internet record sales? Such a pig flying act would double their revenue from current levels. Why won't people purchase tapes from the internet vs. the store where sales cleared $29 bill worldwide? And why not ktel with the billboard agreement? Amazon has cleared that much in one quarter now from book sales. tape sales shouldn't be any less attractive on the internet. what factor is wrong with Louis argument? i don't know the man, but his argument relative to valuation is not outlandish relative to CDNW or NTKI. hype or no, where's the beef?

Katherine,
In defense of Mr. Riley (not that he needs it, I'm sure he can do quite well on his own) I don't believe he was using loaded dice. He offered his opinion, for free, and anyone was able to look at it, cogitate on it, ignore it, follow up on it, or act on it. Sure he spoke emphatically for the case. But others spoke equally well against it. You and anyone else could have just ignored it. That's the beauty of freedom of choice and why adults are allowed to exercise it. If you choose to follow someone blindly, then you have no one to blame but yourself for your blindness. I don't believe Mr. Riley went out of his way to deceive anyone. If his analysis was flawed, then someone should have pointed it out to him. If you didn't take the time to determine if it was flawed or not, then you have no reason to call foul.

I'll end by posing a couple of questions to you:
You stated that you read a lot of press releases. Do you believe each and every one that you read? Why or why not? How many of these do you follow up on with independent research? Why or why not? For the ones that are obviously hype, do you follow them or ignore them? If hype is effective in modifying your behavior, it is so only because you let it.

Endofsermon. Tony

>>...but I think you'll see pigs fly before KTEL brings in actual earnings to justify that kind of valuation.>>

Hi. I came over to this thread to find a replacement for my rusty old Veg-o-Matic, but a search on the K-Tel site found no matches. This little piggy is flying to Atlanta on the weekend. Do you anticipate earnings soon?<g>
