George,

Nice find.

Regarding Solid Systems. SSI looks pretty involved in doing system integrating for companies in the geoseismic space. Maybe SSI was the integrator for the Amoco installation.

From SSI web site (data center migration) <<Solid Systems can provide a total "turn-key" solution for customers who have a business requirement to move or "migrate" from one operating system or network system to another.>> solidstor.com

From Amoco PR <<Nelson said the Fibre Channel network was installed in just a couple working days, replacing ATM at this location. "Down-time simply isn't acceptable in this kind of production environment," he said. "With Fibre Channel, we were able to provide a solution that offers the performance, reliability and simplicity to best support this environment." >> ancor.com

SSI also has a link to Energy Graphics. Looks like SSI has an alliance with Energy to offer Energy's products/services. <<Energy Graphics has grown from providing simple custom mapping services for seismic data to marketing the industry's most comprehensive database management and mapping tool, The INTELLEX Exploration System.>>

And Ancor's MKII was featured in SSI's booth at last year's SEG which I believe was in Dallas in September.
