Rock does his best to mislead
If you want to talk about misleading, let us not leave out Iomega management--past and present. KE's gutter ethics have been well chronicled on this board, and his ghost will continue to haunt the value of the stock until the law suits are finally resolved, which should take another five to seven years. Then we have the "new" team whose best estimate on GM is anywhere from 24 to 32 percent, and who can't give projected revenues for the current quarter, but who insist that IOM will make a profit by 4 Q, inspite of Sony's coming presence. Did Rocky Lie? Absolutely. The Headline of his clearly had an implied verb in it, so his half-assed semantics about it not being a true sentence are pure bull jive. But so is the slop that continues to come from the mouth of Iomega's management. There isn't a self-respecting manager in the country who would give that kind of spread on GM with a straight face. The inferior customer service simply reflects the inferior management, which is still looking for a new CEO. Who knows, maybe Phillip Davis would be a good CEO of Iomega. At least he's able to recognize a lie--something I am not so sure that Iomega management can do.
