Gary,

Interesting comments, very informative. I also have an account with Flushing but have never traded it. I have noticed that Flushing appears to only accept fractions to 1/32. Would be interested in hearing if you can get smaller fraction(WSS allows to 1/256) on your OTC:BB trades. Both brokers should be offering decimals like 0.0775 on all OTC:BB stocks... but they definitely do NOT want the commissions.

Also, many times WSS has limited the number of shares on one OTC:BB order to about 40,000 max for $14.95. Flushing also uses US Clearing. Is Flushing also limiting the number of shares per order to US Clearing's 40,000 max or are you able to buy say 100,000 shares of a 0.04 cents stock in one order. I would be interested in your experiences with Flushing.

Thanks, nick

Gary, good luck. I'm getting ready to move at least part of my holdings out of there. Customer service here is the best, but BB & OTC small cap trading sucks. I too have Level II and get to see first hand that 60-70% of my BB & OTC bids/offers NEVER get represented by their MM. I have complained almost daily to Mike ??, GM at WSS for the last two weeks. They process through US Clearing which uses MM Nash Weiss almost exclusively. Yesterday, for example, I had a 2000 share bid in at 1 1/2. It never appeared on Level II. The stock closed at 1 15/32. I got ZIP shares. Same holds true on the sell side. Can't count the times that I've placed an offer between a current bid/offer and never got represented. Their explanation: MM informs them that they don't have to represent BB and OTC bid/offers if they choose not to - and apparently Nash Weiss chooses not to. I have also seen Nash Weiss add a 1/16 or an 1/8 to my offer on a few occassions. This really pisses me off. Whenever they do, I always replace my order to match the price they've increased it to. For those of you at Web Street without Level II, you don't know what you're missing. And if you think this post is BS or out of line, call Mike (GM) at Web Street and ask him if he's had these complaints from any of his customers recently. I'll probably keep the account open just for the Level II, but will move all my small cap holdings out. Good luck.
Steve

I'm printing the pages for level 2 right now. I was going to give it a shot. Do you have the automatically updating RTQ too? I'm leaving my RTQ provider as they are down almost every day. How are the RTQ with Webstreet?

I have had no problems with them to date. I have a restriction for daytrading (US clearing is the rub there), but WS only charges me the internet rate even though I have to call. AND they answer within a minute. I placed 3 orders today during the same call, and the first two were confirmed BEFORE I could place the 3rd. I felt that was pretty quick.
