I don't disagree with you or Travis about the perception thing. I just see it as a vehicle of which Jobs is making use. The way it's set up, Jobs is completely in control of the situation. He has but to "make his decision" in a microsecond, and the issue disappears. And the beauty of it is that HE gets to decide the timing. Meanwhile, he and Apple get a lot of press and the tension and drama build.

BTW, the way Adam described Steve, he did sound a little like Ren. "You bloated idiot, I told you to make it PERFECT."
