All, Good News. Cisco beats estimates!! Cisco has a history of coming through. Still many that own tech. stocks hold their breath whenever the big guys like Cisco are due to release earnings. And, with many of the other networking guys disappointing recently, many were watching Cisco closely. Just glad to see we did not have a big disappointment after the close. No dark clouds to ruin our day tomorrow. Cisco's news should help keep the sky clear as we move further into the month of May ... ------------------------------------------------------------------ AFTER THE BELL - Cisco rises NEW YORK, May 6 (Reuters) - Shares in Cisco Systems Inc. rose in after-hours trade Tuesday after the company reported quarterly results that were slightly better than forecast. Shares in the Internet working solutions company were up at 74-3/4 on the Instinet electronic broker system from a close of 73-5/8. The company reported third-quarter pro forma earnings per diluted share of $0.45 against $0.35 for the same period a year ago. A consensus estimate of analysts compiled by First Call had pegged earnings at $0.44 a share. ------------------------------------------------------------------- regards, John
