I suppose that you are right that it is already priced in at this point. The action today would seem to confirm that, at least at the start, which I guess if there was an effect would be where it would show up.

So maybe we do have it behind us. But it is discouraging to see the continued Asian weakness, and it makes me wonder if there may not be more spillover yet to come.

Network Computing Presents Fourth-Annual Well-Connected
Awards for Best Enterprise-Wide Technology Products
09:30 a.m. May 06, 1998 Eastern

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1998-- 3Com Corporation Takes
Top Hardware Honor; Tivoli Systems Places First for Software

The editors of CMP Media's Network Computing last night honored the industry's
top technology products at the fourth-annual Well-Connected Awards presentation.
The gala event, held in conjunction with the NetWorld+Interop networking trade
show underway here, recognized the best, lab-tested products in 52 categories.

The evening's top winners were 3Com Corporation's CoreBuilder 3500
Layer 3 High-Function Switch, as hardware product of the year, and
Tivoli Systems' TME 10 NetView 5.0 network-management platform, as
best software of the year.

"Our editors worked at length to research and test the best products in the
technology arena," said Network Computing Editor-in-Chief Fritz Nelson. "The
products singled out in the Well-Connected Awards are unique because they have
been tested over a networked enterprise by the editors themselves. They are truly
innovative solutions."

The fourth-annual Well-Connected Awards were selected by a team of Network
Computing editors who put the products through the rigors of enterprise testing.
These experts, who have years of experience with information systems and
networking solutions, test products in Network Computing's Real-World Labs
where they can compare features and functionality across a seven-location,
coast-to-coast connected and distributed environment.

More than 150 products were considered in this year's competition in nine
categories, such as collaborative computing, operating systems and services,
Internet/intranet, middleware and enterprise security. Winners included Intel's
Business Video Conferencing with ProShare Technology, Computer Associates'
ARCserve family of network backup software, Bay Networks' NetID IP
address-management tool, IBM's MQSeries V5.0 message-queuing middleware
and Check Point's Firewall-1 security software. A complete list of Well-Connected
winners is posted on the magazine's Web site at
networkcomputing.com.

Driving IT decisions, Network Computing is the premier technology- solutions
publication providing trusted enterprise-tested results to technology drivers -- IT
professionals -- twice monthly. In addition, the publication consistently has the
largest average-issue audience among all networking publications, according to
Simmons and IntelliQuest. Network Computing received the 1997 Maggie Award
for Best Computer & Telecommunications (trade) Publication.
