Roy,

I like your Pro/Go/Whoa analysis. I think Go is the Powerbooks.

I totally missed the OrangeMicro thing yesterday. I just read it. Very interesting. The piece relates to events on May 11th, though, not tomorrow. Just more to look forward to. There is so much coming down in the media, it feels like Christmas. I hope Santa shows up tomorrow.

Regards,

Scott

No one has mentioned the possibility of something really cool from Orange Micro being announced tomorrow, as detailed on Mac OS Rumors yesterday.

Orange Micro may come out with something amazing, but I doubt that Apple would make it a centerpiece of their own product launch.

In light of soup's and others' comments, I'd like to revise my guesswork:

Pro: New full tower G3s, with the name "G3 Pro." (from soup's idea)
Go: New PowerBooks (we all seem to be in agreement on this)
Whoa: Price cuts on existing G3s

These are all product and consumer related which, as someone pointed out, this event is probably about.

Of course, I do believe that at some point Steve is going to introduce an amazing new, low cost device that is going to create a whole new market category and reshape the computer industry. I just don't know when it's going to happen.
