Kurt,

I called the SEC to find out what regulations are in place to force shortsellers to cover the shares they sold, even illegally, in an entity that is not trading. This question it appears falls into a couple of categories and under different regulations.

Straight out answer there is nothing to force them to cover, except if their is a complaint and the different branches can investigate in their prospective field, and then if found to be at fault fines, being shut down and jail time can be levied.

IMO I think that is why the a certain group of nays that appear to have disappeared from the thread all of a sudden might be concerned with and that is if the stock does not trade soon many complaints will be filed and most definitely the participants of the SI thread will be suspect. Of course that is only an opinion, but one that I am apt to follow.
