What do you think about NETZ and Doubleclick being mentioned together in the Reuters account?

Could you cut and paste the Reuters account? I would have to see it to properly answer, but even being mentioned in the same breath is good.

Remember, this thread dies and the NETZ vs DCLK threads thrives once again when and if all doubters questions are answered.

Joe PTG&LI !!!

The mention of DCLK in the Reuters article was NOT positive toward NETZ. Here it is in context:

" The company was seen as a major rival of DoubleClick Inc. (NASDAQ:DCLK). But the company has undergone an executive exodus since the fall, when Softbank (TOKYO:9984), the Japanese software and media giant, put the company up for sale, and has maintained a significantly lower profile since Zulu-tek acquired it."

The company WAS seen as a major rival of DoubleClick Inc. Past tense. The implication is that it is not now seen as a major rival of DoubleClick. The article immediatly goes on to explain why the company is no longer seen as a major rival. The word "but" starting the next stentence clearly links the statements about the exodos of executives (NOT referred to as a "house-cleaning", but as an EXODOS, NOT a positive) etc. to the previous sentence. (I have to point this out in excrutiating detail, because if I don't it will be claimed that that sentence has nothing to do with the previous one...)

Party, please don't try to support your argument by trying to find a disagreement between us where there is none. I agree completely with you on the further growth of the Internet.

We've reached critical mass with computers, and near-100% penetration of households, world-wide, is an eventual certainty. I have *frequently* compared where we are with the Internet right now with the auto industry in the early part of the century. This is just the very beginning.

Where we disagree is how this affects marginal players in the industry.

I'd suggest you take a ride in your Hudson and ponder that for a bit. :)
