Richard: Matthew, Apple doesn't have 4 qtrs worth of earnings yet. We've only been back in the black for 2 qtrs. To explain further, PE is normally based on prior 4 quarters (though it can also be based on coming quarters, as per Alomex, Philip Lee and others). Since Apple's prior 4 quarters are negative, it doesn't make sense to quote a negative price earnings, so they leave it as N/A. Welcome to the thread. I'm an Aussie myself, actually, though perhaps not true blue: I was born in Melbourne. My Dad lives there, and I recently talked him into buying a Mac, which he's very happy with. rhet0ric
