Pray for the peace of the New Jerusalem.
Rejoice ye children of the most High.
Let us sing as me march into the walls of the Holy City
The Daughter of Zion as she praises Jesus
Jerusalem, Jerusalem oh New Jerusalem
People from ever tribe and tongue and nation
come within your holy walls to worship
the Fahter, Son and Holy Ghost
Within they walls oh holy city
men repent and shed their loads of sin
Kings and simple folk together eat of they Body and Blood
Pray for the Peace of the Holy Jerusalem of God
May the peace of the Holy Temples of God
the precious bricks that make up the Holy City
forever have peace, joy and love
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem in spirit and in truth
Pray for the Holy Christian Church, the Body of Christ

Do you think Christmas is 'sound doctrine', Chris? It really is the old pagan midwinter solstice festival, isn't it - a very sensible idea, indeed, to celebrate life, and a great occasion for it when the sun is at its lowest and about to turn and come back - but it's hardly 'sound [Christian] doctrine', especially since (I heard way back that) Christ was most likely born in early October (the month of Nissan, when the crops were coming in).

Same with Easter - that's just the old pagan rites of spring, the very name comes from the pre-Christian ('pagan' to you -g-) goddess whose name was spelled variously as Ishtar and Astarte, depending on the language. Basically a celebration of the equinox, though, and the coming of fertility and prosperity and having enough to eat and being warm. That's a lot like resurrection, if you think about it, after being cold and hungry all winter.

Speaking of celebrating - we just had a fine little intimate celebration here of Cinco de Mayo - a small group spanning ages from 8 months to 79 years, a wide variety of belief structures and personalities ... and a good time was had by all. Mix it up, I say ... -g- ..... salud ..... marcos

PS - gotta agree with you on circumcision (assuming you're agin it) - now that is weird

Other quotes from the radical agenda Alan is trying to push:

Of course this is not the Biblical way, which is seen as only possible through acceptance of the Messiah's way. I be- lieve such way to 'eternal life' with God, in the world-to-come, is by faith in the Messiah. On the basis of Jewish Scripture (the Bible) and historical facts, Yeshua (Jesus) is this expect- ed annointed one from God, the " ONLY "Messiah, Redeemer, Savior.

While it is universally admitted by both Jews and Christians that God is One and that there is no one beside Him, we are also compelled to acknowledge that the triunity of God is clearly taught in the Torah, the Prophets. and in the Writings --- that is in the whole Tenach, the Hebrew Scriptures of the Old Testament, & the New Testament. Not only in the Tenach but also in the Talmudical & Rabbinical writings this concept is well known.

We see in the New Covenant that Messianic gentiles have met every requirement to be accepted as full spiritual partners with their Jewish brethren in the Messianic faith.

In summary, although it is improper and inaccurate to claim a Jewish lineage if we are gentiles, it is good to share how we too have come to faith because of our relationship with the Jewish Messiah,Yeshua. When unbelieving Jewish people hear of our zealousness for the Jewishness of our faith, and our excitement over the Jewish Messiah, it can provoke them to jealousy. We trust that they will see that Yeshua is not the "gentile god," but the "Redeemer of Israel."

We believe in Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah because He alone gives sense to the words of our Jewish prophets.

Chris, Your distortion of things you don't understand makes all you say suspect. I must agree, start your own thread and leave those who love the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob alone.

Let Yeshua Judge the World, In him I trust. - DLL

One more question, Chris.

Do you think it a person in the liberty of Yeshua, can choose to try and follow the laws in the Torah, and still be a Christian?

Chris;

What happened did those sites upset you? Why cant the Jews continue on with their faith and accept Yeshua as their Messiah? Also they accept all openly to worship with them Gentiles ect.... Cannot the Jews celebrate Passover? Why cant they thank God for all he has done for them? They openly accept Yeshua as their blood atonement is not that the issue. Who said their is no grace?

As in everything else, the Messianic way of doing things has not yet become standardized, so you will undoubtedly get a different answer from each Messianic Rabbi

That statement is ridiculous. If anything the Christian terminology is not standardized. You have hundreds of denominations and view points within the Christian sector.

It's no wonder Alan in hostile to sound doctrine.

The sound doctrine I follow is everything that the Bible is Old and New something you seem to lack. All these Jews as well as Gentiles are doing is holding fast to what God is and not throwing away bits and parts of his word like many Christians do.
