I've been reading your discussion on nuke plants with some interest. I live a few miles from the mess owned by Illinois Power at Clinton. It was supposed to cost four hundred million but came in at four billion.

We were fishing the lake yesterday when the warning sirens went off, not a good sign as the monitors were 15 miles further from the plant than we were. But it was only the first Tuesday of the month test.

The plant was shut down to replace a leaky seal in September of '96 and they found so many problems that the hoped for restart date is next October. Having that piece of garbage in this area has doubled our electric rates, so much for cheap energy.

>>And, as I'm fond of saying, you don't win arguments by calling someone stupid.

I agree and I only add that you have lost the argument when you are reduced to having to misstate what the other side has said in order to give the wholly false impression that they have engaged in name-calling.

I called your Aunt "amazingly uninformed", which does not imply "stupid" except to those who have apparently already come to that judgment.
