<We should see some interesting action here. People are waking up to Asia again. Fear may come back even if it is just a tiny bit.>

Pancho, the news out of Asia gets grimmer by the day. It's amazing how their stock market charts are in sych with the 1929-30 US markets, first a crash in October (1929 & 1997) followed by a recovery until April (1930 & 1998) and then a decline that passes the previous low in May (1930 & 1998).

The Nikkei is down to 15,200, Kopsi down to 380, Hang Seng 10,200 (all 3 month lows)Indonesia rioting. Where are all those analysts that said Asia was the place to be in 98. These were the same analysts who were telling us to get in back in 97.

Greenspan and the Slickster get together. IMO Greenspan is afraid to raise rate because he knows the Asian Tsunami is coming and he doesn't
want a 1929 crash. He'll probably raise margin requirements to 60% to see how that goes and maybe higher if the baloon gets bigger. Stick with shorting the banking stocks. A lot of the sound companies in Asia that did derrivative deals are bankrupt and the US & European banks are going to be left holding the bag.
