Whoops. Another PR and not a bad one. Guthy-Renker is the kind of company K-Tel wants to keep....

Did anyone notice the following words in the GRTV/KTEL PR:

the initial three-month agreement

Here's it in context:
Under terms of the agreement, beginning June 1998, GRTV will
broadcast a daily half-hour music block designed to promote K-telmusic products. In addition to marketing existing K-tel music products to the consumer through traditional direct marketing methods, all K-tel programming broadcast on GRTV Network will promote "K-tel Express" (www.ktel.com), the company's new on-line music service which launched May 1. Additionally, during the initial three-month agreement, the two companies will evaluate possible co-marketing joint venturestogether.

"The agreement" - is used in the singular.

And the word "exclusive" - what exactly does that mean?

As far as Weiner calling GRTV's reach "extraordinary", IMHO their reach would be a little more extraordinary if TCI was listed in the PR as one of the cable MSO's they've contracted with.

When it comes to PR - they got game <g>

Good trading,

Tom
