BTW, surprised that you did not comment on the CNBC report that during the
Greenspan/Clinton meeting the former was going to advise that the Fed is looking at
raising margin requirements to 65%--as a way to reduce the likelihood of a bubble. I
guess you did not hear the report.


The only thing I heard was the it was a possibility that this would be part of the discussion.

This may be one of those things they are floating out there again to caution people.

No doubt if they did that the effect would be tremendous..both on the short side and long side..

Maybe traders are thinking about Buffett's comments (which after reading them on thestreet.com indicate to me he thinks we are overvalued- especially banks)...and the margin aspect...the rate aspect....etc etc etc ..and it is just causing a slow sell off....
