Tom Re Fed;

For five years the only Fed liquidity action was to add liquidity. It's only for the last six months or so, once in a while, they have begun to drain it.

People have gotten so used to seeing added liquidity, they have discounted the Fed liquidity market effect.

According to CNBC:

Alice Rivlin will be on CNBC this afternoon....

Asset allocation is part of reason for sell-off

from stock to bonds...dont remember the name of the firm...

and Medley Global Services had a report out about the Fed trying to cool off the market (no doubt including the margin change)
