At this rate we definetly hit $40, barring any federal action against MSFT or INTC. IMO, everyone should be buying more.

Digital Shareholders' Meeting Date Set

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1998--Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE:CPQ - news) and Digital Equipment Corporation (NYSE:DEC - news) today announced that the proxy statement to be provided to Digital shareholders in connection with Compaq's pending acquisition of Digital will be mailed beginning on May 7, 1998.

The transaction is subject to approval by holders of two-thirds of Digital's common stock. A special meeting of shareholders will be held at 11 a.m. on June 11, 1998, at the Westford Regency Inn in Westford, Massachusetts. Shareholders of record as of May 4, 1998, are entitled to vote at the special meeting.

The transaction is also subject to, among other things, the termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.

Subject to satisfaction of these and other customary conditions, Compaq and Digital currently expect the transaction to close shortly after the special meeting.
