While a nice stroke for the software developers/project team and the source of some PR fodder, it's a meaningless award, as are most software industry awards (I know from experience - my previous company's products swept them almost every year)! Doesn't add a dime to the bottom line...other than the magazine's, as they might get to sell some more ad copy to the finalists! <g> Good to see the company out there trying for some PR, though! Like they say, "there's no such thing as bad publicity"... As I mentioned previously, I made my $$$ on BASEA in the low teens, and am not short at present (that'd be nuts!)...thought about it at $10-12, but my $$$ was tied up in Y2K stocks at the time...
