"The AT&T/Excite deal calls for the two companies to create a new online service called "Excite Online powered by AT&T WorldNet." The service would combine Excite's search and directory services with AT&T's WorldNet ISP, and would offer users access to AT&T's telephony services and rates. The two companies will jointly market the service to consumers."

"The home pages of Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) and Netscape are huge portals, because the companies' browsers default to their sites, which is one of the reasons why Excite was willing to pay Netscape $70 million."

I guess we should add NSCP to team #1 also.
