Penni,

I was joking in calling it pseudo-science.

Scientific developments often start from simple observations of nature. An explaining theory is developed and then tested to see if it explains the observations. As long as the theory explains all the observations, it's considered to be valid.

An apple supposedly fell on Isaac Newton's head and he wondered why.

The classical mechanics developed from that observation stood valid for many hundreds of years until the development of relativity theory and quantum mechanics. Classical mechanics is perfectly fine for explaining why and how the apple falls, and how to calculate the orbit of a spacecraft going to the moon, but it's not very good at explaining what happens inside atomic particles.

David (aka Ask Dr. Science!) <grin, just kidding!>

I tip well for good service, less for mediocre, and once I tipped two cents.

Best,
