Actually it is a perception, not a reality. If the shares are now lower in cost, and they have just split, more people can afford to buy the shares, and if they split once, maybe they'll split again! So naturally I want to buy as soon as possible so that I will make money as it increases to the next split. How long do I have to save to buy that 1 share of Berkshire Hathaway stock at $70,000? Did I hear you say you wanted a 'block'? - that'll be $7,000,000 please!
