Sort of OT: Netscape no longer has a thread over on Yahoo!... is this development as recent as the Excite deal? I envision a new ethos emerging in which co.'s must pay to link to the search engines. The engines, under intense pressure to return profits, will begin to assess fees to websites in return for each 'hit' on a websearch. I have half-suspected that this has already been taking place for awhile whenever I receive a bizarre and off-topic set of hits to a net search query.
