Baird, The positive market perception you mention may be tested in the coming days as we now appear to be on the verge of Asia-vu. The markets in Hong Kong and Tokyo among others are breaking support and expected soon to retest the January lows. They should be watched closely tonight for further signs of a big breakdown. Don't know how substantially this will affect US markets, but I suspect that it will cause gitters in the markets at large and lend some credence to bears like LT. Oil prices likely will not be spared at least temporarily and I for one am hoping for a nice pullback so I can buy some of this thread's favorites on the cheap.
