Jack, that is a very narrow view. Do some homework and get back to us with some real analysis. Here, let me help you out. Fact is, with the introduction of Viagra the number of men seeking help for impotence has grown by more than ten fold. Viagra will only work for about 60% of these men. So now we have 40% of a very large number of guys who still need help. Well, Muse was the number one selling drug in this area before Viagra's launch so where do you think they will go. Looks to me like the new facility will be pumping out full steam within a couple months and our beloved Vivus will finally have it's day in the sun. If you can't see this then you must have been taking some of the 100mg doses of Viagra. Are you seeing blue?

Jack,
from time to time you get so bitter. I wish you would stop harassing everyone and try to express your views with some civility.

<< The people on the VVUS
thread don't want to deal with the fact that there may be something
out there BETTER THAN MUSE. JG>>

I don't get the feeling VVUS investors think Muse is going to beat out PFE for market share. Viagra is going to dominate the market (unless its another phen/fen, but that is unlikely), we all have come to accept that. This difference between the shorts and longs comes down to "who's going to be number 2?" The shorts feel VVUS can't make it in the ED market, the longs think VVUS has a viable product that will soak up a lot of the people that reject Viagra. It is that simple.
As an investor, we weigh these choices and either bet long or short, or we move on.

This "hype" issue is starting to annoy me. People who are long VVUS believe the company will succeed; that is fundamental to being long a stock. Nobody would invest in VVUS if they felt the company would continue on the current path of negative quarters. That is for the shorts. So, we have a time will tell scenario where there is now way of predicting what's going to happen. We all just use information we have to form our best guess as to what the future holds. For longs, we think this is a rosy picture. Granted, there has been some ridiculous hype, but there also has been some well formed opinion on the optimistic side which is called hype. It's the new buzz word. "Hey, that's hype!" It's a cop out. If people disagree with posts, I wish they would dispute it with something usefull. Calling it hype and leaving it at that does nothing but waste time.

Just my humble opinion,
Colby

P.S. I like the action yesterday.

Jack, It's amazing how you just swoop down on a thread and start running your mouth with attacks, you're practically famous for it at this point. I can understand if you had a bad childhood or you are off your meds but what bothers me the most, no shit, is the state of disfunction your little episodes can cause a thread.

People know where my head is at as we have won and lost with this stock over the last year. Get yourself oriented to day, time and place and stop trying to jerk people around who you feel need your special brand of judgement. Grow up, contribute, and respect the rights of other to have opinions whether you understand them or not.

Keep in mind, VVUS being a small com. it does not take tremendous sales to keep the P/E ratio low. On
the other hand PFE with a P/E about 60 has to earn
a tremendous amount to justify its price. VVUS IMHO
has the better risk, reward ratio.
