Robert

they have cars...but do you have any clue as to how many people can afford them

read my post again

they have servers in turkey used globally by listservs....they have a backbone to the internet (not sure if backbone is the right term)

There are people from turkey on the net..usually related to a university or a large company...but not always....find one and ask them about the daily existence and how many people out of the millions in Istanbul can afford a computer.....have access to even learning how to use one....forget about the outlying areas...

and then ask them about the culture....

then come back and tell me how huge it will be....

I have been on the net for 5 years. I have talked with people from all over the world on the net....including Turkey. That doesnt mean it will have the same impact as what we have seen in this country where it is common that pre-kindergarteners are on the computer.

America Online (AOL) 85 7/8 +3 5/8: company reports Q3 operating net of $0.16 a share, 4 cents above the First Call mean view and on the high-end of the "whisper" range. Revenues rose 54% to $693.6 mln...

Very good! Now if only those nasty men from the Fed would stop saying those terrible things about the stock market ...
