Hi Dreamweaver: 17 times the speed of conventional modems, no rewiring in the home, it sounds like ADSL-lite. SteveG probably knows which company supplies Nortel with ADSL chips (ALA?) Re LMDS (LMCS in Canada), I think they divided Canada into two license areas. One of the licenses was won by US Wavelink, which is a small Texas Company which was kept out of the recent auction by the FCC bidding rules. I am not sure that CVUS is still active in Canada.
