Now Alex, you know that people who wear Birkenstocks and tie dye are just fashion victims, don't you? There never really were very many Communists, anyway, and who would have the inclination to go to serious party meetings once marijuana became fashionable in the '60's?

I personally think 50,000 declared militia movement members in the U.S. is 50,000 too many. Yes, I know that wearing camo and having a coupla Remingtons in the back of the truck does not make one a militia member. However, it probably does make one a hunter at least, not the most noble category of people in the eyes of vegetarian animal rights activists, really. But still, many people hunt animals and enjoy the experience. It is still culturally acceptable in the United States, unlike blowing up a Federal building and murdering hundreds of people at a time.

I looked at your url:

militia-watchdog.org

It was really helpful in proving my point that Idaho, in particular, is just crammed full of militia members of a particularly virulent variety, because I found a link there specifically about the militia movement in Idaho. This url is very long and takes a couple of minutes to read, but it is certainly alarming, particularly in the possible link with the neo-Nazis in Europe. And of course, the shoot-out with the Weaver family happened at Ruby Ridge, Idaho.
