Chrysler/Daimler:

Nice fit. Only debate at this point is merger or direct sale to Daimler.
It is definitely one market out there, though it took the locals overly long to figure out the platform dynamic.(ie, world platform compatibles).
Chrysler and Daimler have complimentary products though still a few glaring holes if they want to play in the GM/Ford league. I would expect one and maybe two more moves if they firm up a partnership.
Look for some minor plays from GM/Ford. I feel Ford, in particular, is serious about Euro market.
I'm keeping an eye on Volvo. Still some problems, but a new contemporary attitude toward styling in particular, and some interesting new products in the pipeline. Look for a comeback for the station wagon.
